Our Community Impact Strategy
Standing Strong & Tall Together is our new five-year Community Impact strategy focused on transformational partnerships and systems-change to create sustained generational change.
WHO WE ARE
We are King & Wood Mallesons.
The top tier international law firm, from Asia, for the World.
Together with our clients & communities, we are leading a transformation of social impact & responsible business.
We work in trusted partnerships with community-led organisations, emerging leaders and respected advocates to further strengthen communities through strategic legal, justice & advisory projects, holistic pathways programs and targeted grants.
Global justice challenges impact all communities and they also impact our people, our clients & our business. We have a role to play.
In Australia, our work acknowledges and reflects the injustices and legacy that has continued to impact on the lives of First Peoples. We recognise our responsibility and role in redressing these continuing injustices.
Community Impact is guided by a new 5 year strategy titled ʻStanding Strong & Tall Together’. We recognise that how we work is as significant as the work itself. The development and commitment to genuine and trusted partnerships with community is the foundation of our work and is key to real change. Critically, we are guided in our work by our First Nations Youth Council and our Elders in Residence. In doing so, we centre the authority and leadership of community. With the privilege of receiving this legitimacy and direction comes our commitment to accountability and action.
Our approach is to work in close partnership with identified urban, regional and remote communities in recognition of the need for holistic, place-based responses and to maximise our impact.
Regionally, we focus on Far North Queensland, Moree Plains and Western NSW and remotely, we focus on the Kimberley Regions, Arnhem Land, the Torres Strait and the APY/NPY Lands.
We also focus on where our centres are located: Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Singapore and Sydney.
To strengthen communities through powerful community-led partnerships for sustained generational change.
